1879-O S$1 MS-65 (PCGS) (CAC).

Super brilliant and white, with exciting cartwheel lustre. A frosty gem, very nice for the grade with lilac accents and well struck surfaces. A high grade 1879-O with Collectors Acceptance Corporation verification, a splendid specimen of this scarce issue, first Morgan dollar issue of the New Orleans Mint (which had been closed since 1861, now open again for business, and remaining so through part of 1909).

Housed in an old-style green label PCGS holder.
