Lovely 1869 $1 "Rainbow Note"

Choice About Uncirculated 58 (PMG). A very attractive example, graded AU-58, but difficult to tell, or possibly impossible to tell that it is not crisp new, unless one takes it out of the holder. Deeply and boldly printed, and very attractive. A simply great example of one of the most popular of all American currency issues. The term "Rainbow Note" is a nickname given to the Series of 1869 Legal Tender issues $1, $2, $5, and $10, as they are printed in black, red, and green. This note checks in as a winner in The 100 Greatest American Currency Notes book, a "must have" volume for enjoying paper money.
