Welcome to the latest edition of Dave’s Notes. It is not a bit too early to wish you a Happy New Year. May the end of the present holiday season and the coming of the new year bring you and yours much enjoyment and happiness.

Here at American Numismatic Rarities we are all grateful for the hobby events of 2005—a strong market, great response to our auction sales and private offerings, and the opportunity to interface with many friends and clients during visits to conventions.

Coming up quickly in January will be our sale of the Robert Michael Prescott Collection, this being the lead consignment, accompanied by many other choice, interesting, and rare coins, including pieces that have been off the market for many years.

My Expert’s Guide to Collecting & Investing in Rare Coins continues to be a best seller, not only here at ANR, but at bookstores and coin shops nationwide. If you haven’t ordered one of these and would like to, the opportunity beckons. I would be delighted to personally autograph a copy to you or a gift recipient.

Numismatic Sun Number 9 is now being produced by our Graphics Department, our numismatic staff is busy with our March auction to be held March 14^th-15^th in Baltimore, and a lot else is going on. All of this is very enjoyable.
