Dave's Notes

Welcome to the latest edition of my Notes. I enjoy doing these comments each week, and I enjoy the feedback from readers. If you have any thoughts to share, please e-mail them. Ditto if you have a query for the "Ask the Experts" column. As to the "This and That," I appreciate the nice stream of stuff continually arriving in my mailbox-odd facts, interesting (I hope) trivia, and more. What would we do without the Internet?

At the main office in New York City and at the office here in New Hampshire, everyone is busy with our sales coming up in January. Our Orlando Sale, preceding the Florida United Numismatists (FUN) show, is always a hot ticket! If you would like to consign choice interesting coins, a fine set, or your collection, just call either of our main consignment directors: John Pack or Vicken Yegparian. Focus will be on United States coins and paper money. Let Stack's success be your success. Your bottom line will benefit!

Our Americana Sale in New York City will have American coins, tokens, medals and paper money. Our International Sale will have coins from ancient Greek and Roman times down to the modern era.

Thinking of selling? Contact John or Vicken today, or drop me a note. Actually, all of us here at Stack's are "consignment directors" in a way!

View Gold eBrochureBusiness has been very good lately. At our gallery at 123 West 57th Street there has been a lot of focus on gold. Hardly a day goes by without someone discovering gold coins, stopping in to see what we have, and leaving with some treasures. There is comfort in owning gold. New York City in the autumn is a wonderful place-holiday shopping, concerts, museums, and more-a great place to spend a few days.

Coming down the pike quickly is the Whitman Coins & Collectibles Show in Baltimore. Preceding that event, beginning on Monday the 9th of November, we will be having a grand auction, continuing on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The red carpet is out for you in Baltimore and, as always, at our gallery in New York City. Please visit!

Or, as ever, keep in touch by e-mail.

All good wishes to you,

Dave Bowers
